2024 Summer CSA Shares

Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is one of the best ways to support local farmers. When you pre-pay for your summer veggies, you're helping to purchase this year's seeds, pots, soil, compost, propane, etc. When summer arrives, you receive your share of the rewards, when the farm is at its most bountiful. 

We want to make it easy and accessible to enjoy locally-grown food. Our fully customizable CSA program is designed to fit everyone's family size and food preferences.

Here's how our Summer CSA Program works:

• 8 weeks of groceries
• July 11th - August 29th
• Thursday shopping between 2pm-6pm
• You choose your weekly spending amount: $20, $30, or $40
• Each week you'll decide which veggies to bring home. No need to get stuck with produce you won't use or enjoy.

Structured differently than last year's "What's in the box?" CSA model, we hope that this "free choice" method will increase overall customer satisfaction while reducing waste and packaging.

If you'd like to pay with EBT/SNAP benefits, please email us at LilacCityHarvest@gmail.com before buying online, as we have to run the payment through a different processing system. We would love to have you!

Some of the items you can expect to see:

• Salad mix and heads of lettuce
• Leafy greens: spinach, arugula, kale, cabbage, beet greens
• Root veggies: carrots, onions, potatoes, beets, radishes, turnips
• Crowd pleasers: sugar snap peas, green beans, broccoli, squash, cucumbers, tomatoes, peppers, eggplant, garlic, green onions
• Herbs: basil, rosemary, thyme, oregano
• Fresh-cut flower bouquets

Most of our items range between $3.00 and $5.00 each. A single person or a couple may prefer the $20/week option, while frequent veggie eaters and families might be more comfortable with the $40/week option.

Want to buy more than you pre-paid for? No worries! Just pay the overage when you're shopping in the store.

Friends and family can pick up weekly shares on your behalf if you're out of town or otherwise unable to swing by.
